So you may or may not have been as lucky as me to have the opportunity to have an argument over text messaging. There’s a whole new set of rules apparently… each text adding one more explicative than the previous to really get your frustration across.

Not sure it’s a healthy way to argue… but at least the words are saved forever on my iPhone!!!

So a friend of ours is interning with a shoe company out of Southern California. They were on nation-wide tour across the South in an Airstream motor home trying to raise awareness for their campaign. That campaign being - buy a pair of shoes and they send a pair to someone in need.

Tiff = Unpredictability

I thought this picture illustrates my constant concern of what’s coming next (and the fact that I married up!). willow city loop

While my soap-box is still drying... that's right there a drying process involved.

The picture above is of "Kermit" and it was my dad's motorcycle. I say "was" because he died last August (for those of you who didn't already know). I took this photo near Willow City, a little town near Fredericksburg, TX and it was my dad’s favorite ride.

Dad loved this time a year, when the wild flowers were in bloom and the scent of the road was sweeter than Mom’s chocolate cake. Uncle Les (Dad's brother) and I went to scatter some of his ashes here and took some photos of his bike in those same flowers. So this post goes out to Dad – “Love you, miss you!”

Just when I feel like I'm getting a handle on all this "stuff" it feels like there's still a mountain to climb. StudiO914 has existed in some form or fashion for a couple of years, but just recently has it gained some sustainable momentum. I'm trying my hardest to keep this movement going but with every step it feels like there's a whole mountain still to climb.

Well to the 4 or 5 that read this blog... you've probably noticed that I haven't posted in quite a long time. It hasn't been because I've been away from the computer though... it's been because I've been super busy with studiO914 stuff and I'm super pumped about where things are headed.

This weekend I'll be headed to the SXSW Interactive conference. I plan on meeting a TON of people and networking with them.

I'll be going alone - but I'm not going to leave my "loyal" readers out... i'm thinking about you too!! I'm going to collect as many business cards as I can and post a big collage of them all here on my blog. I'm mainly doing this because I'm not very good at meeting people and to be honest I'm kinda shy. So this is a way just for me to get out there and have purpose, of some sort.

Ok so I've noticed something for a while (as I'm sure you have too, as you'll see) but haven't had the platform in which to share on such a mass level. Whatever happened to "Can I get a Coffee?". Now it's like you have to understand a whole new language and heaven forbid if you get it wrong. Sadly, here's how most trips go to starbucks for many of us out there:
SB - "welcome to starbucks, can I take your order?"
ME/YOU - "I'll have a coffee please"
SB - "oh you mean a tripple, no-fat, extra-foam, cinnamon swirlly doo, i'm so smarter than you, LATTE?"
ME/YOU(what we'd like to say) - "NO!, NO!, that's not what I mean, you idiot!!!"
ME/YOU(what we really say in embarrasment) - "yes sir/ma-am.... that's it"

Something happened... something very strange... this past weekend when I was on the road with the JCB and dust was settling on every imaginable surface. I had wiped down all the equipment before i packed it all up. But when I opened it up today apparently I forgot to wipe down one road case... 'cause when I opened it to get ready for church the dust unpacked itself all over the place AGAIN!!! Shenanigans! ~Peez-outT

weekend fun

I didn't get to post Friday or Saturday because I was out of range - range of civilization that is. The JCB invited me to a weekend event they did for Hot Hearts. I got to run video for them in one of their new "themed" worship sets. If you have no idea what I mean by that - you soon will - I think it's going to revolutionize how worship leaders prepare for worship. Basically the idea is having a unified idea (ie King, Cross, Forgiveness) during the entire set.

Tonight I was getting ready to go on my first road trip with the JCB. I was getting everything together and noticed that a very (I can't stress VERY enough) VERY important box was missing. This box/case contains pretty much everything I need to connect all my gear together and more. I called up Jeff and luckily he had it! Thanks Jeff... I haven't owned my shiny used truck for a year yet... but apparently timing has nothing to do with fact that the engine is trying to communicate with me. That bright orange symbol glowing all so elegantly right in front of me. What's it trying to say? Do I need to feed it? Does it want me to get it some kind of valentines gift? I'm not sure what this third "prong" is on three prong plugs... but... how come every-time I go to plug something into the wall with out one of these little helpers... I always put the thing in UPSIDE-freegin-DOWN... does any one feel me on this? You know how one side is bigger than the other and it has to match up!? ERRR It's like someone has to be watching every-time I go to plus something in and then laughs hysterically at me on the other side of some one way mirror. More three prongs please!!!! ~Peez-outT

So I'm going to make a commitment to start hitting the gym again. Looks kinda like everything in my life is a couple months behind schedule (see post below). Here's my problem... just outside of my gym there is a Poke-E-Jo's BBQ and Ghatti-Land Pizza place. So just as I get my metabolism up there are two places right in front of my face ready to feed... my face. Any way, I'm still going to make an attempt to get back on track. I’ve been up late the last few nights working on studio914.com and I’ve again realized why Apple Inc is so great. So I was tracking along getting things lined up right and images appearing when they should… It was looking B.E.A.utiful.

Then I decided to dust off my PC and see how Internet Explorer understood the website. Boy was I surprised to find out that my once sweet looking site had now turned into something else. FYI, Bags and Journals are two things I'll never have enough of. I'm always trying to find the "perfect" bag with the right pockets and material and color. Journals also have a tendancy to stack up in my office. I've never found that perfect journal, that is until today.
